• It reads shared memory, writes that shared memory to file, then the same file is opened with xml reader and splits xml since it has multiple roots, then gets the value of a node on each new split xml and sends over serial. It works on the first split xml and its node is sent over serial then it stops with a access is denied to com port message.

Cobb Access Port Serial Number Location

Click the serial monitor button in the toolbar and select the same baud rate used in the call to begin(). Serial communication on pins TX/RX uses TTL logic levels (5V or 3.3V depending on the board). Don’t connect these pins directly to an RS232 serial port; they operate at +/- 12V and can damage your Arduino board.

Virtual Serial Port Monitor

HyperTerminal is no longer included with Windows client Operating Systems from Windows Vista onwards. A good alternative terminal emulator software to HyperTerminal is PuTTY. Click the following link to download PuTTY.

Make sure that you have correct console connection to Cisco Router or Switch. Connect the RJ45 jack of your console cable to the console port of your Cisco Router or Switch. Connect the other end to the Serial port of your computer. Refer the following link to know more about console port and console cable. Access Port Serial Monitor

1) After downloading PuTTY, connect the console cable with Cisco Router or Swtich, double click putty.exe to execute it. Expand Connection > Serial. Enter the port number inside 'Serial line to connect to' text box. The port number is COM4 in below example. The port number may be different in your computer. Enter the correct port number when you connect from your computer. Enter other values also as shown below.
